Warwickshire County Netball Academy for the 2024/25 season.

(Trials have already taken place and the information below is for those athletes that have been selected for 2024/25 season)

The Academy is a major part of England Netball’s Performance Pathway. At this level you should be a member of a club and /or Regional squad which should be providing you with a high level of competition which will give you the opportunity to put into a game situation the personalised training you will be receiving through Warwickshire County.

If you are not in a regional club/ local club or unsure if you are at a club that is able to provide you the appropriate level of competition and training, please speak to your coach in the first instance and she can point you in the right direction.

It is a great honour to be selected into the Warwickshire County Academy Pathway and you will be expected to train at a high level and show great commitment and dedication to the sport.
Academy Programme
The Academy Programme consists of:
  • 30-week training programme from Oct 2024 – May 2025
  • Strength & Conditioning (S&C) sessions
  • Match play opportunities against other Warwickshire Hubs and other counties
  • Priority opportunities for masterclasses/workshops when available
  • End of season tournament
  • Player review / feedback
Kit / Equipment ​
Being prepared for each session is an essential part of training, and we expect all athletes to be on time
and with the correct equipment each week.
  • All athletes are required to wear the Warwickshire Netball kit at all training and competition events (a minimum requirement is the branded t-shirt for training and worn on match days).
  • No club or school kit is allowed.
  • You must arrive and leave training in bottoms and hoodies especially as the weather starts to turn. Plain white or navy training top, navy or black shorts/leggings.
  • All kit can purchased directly from the link: https://omnitau.team/collections/warwickshire-netball
  • Hair must be tied back, nails short, no jewellery and appropriate trainers.
  • Please bring your own ball to training each week, clearly named and inflated.
  • For S&C you will require a foam roller, a skipping rope and resistance bands.
  • A water bottle is essential, and snacks if needed.
Athlete Code of Conduct
As a player in a County Pathway I agree to the following:
  • I will be punctual at all times for training and competition and be ready and prepared at the appropriate times.
  • I will always do my best in every situation.
  • I will attend every session with the correct attitude, and the correct kit and equipment. · I will play within the rules and respect officials decisions.
  • I will be respectful to the coaches, team managers, officials and volunteers, for the time they give to my sport.
  • I will respect and never underestimate my opponents, and not try to gain an unfair advantage over them.
  • I will encourage and support my fellow team members at all times without behaving in an unsporting way towards our opponents.
  • I will accept success and take victory and defeat equally. Win or lose I will try to enjoy every moment on court. · I will not use foul or other inappropriate language.  
  • I will pay any fees for training and matches promptly.
  • I will always inform my coach or the team manager or any injury or medical condition which may affect my performance.
  • I will take responsibility for myself in and out of competition or training, including ensuring I have the appropriate and required kit for netball.

​I accept the Code of Conduct as above and will respect all fellow netballers regardless of age, gender, ability race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity.
