Regional Junior League
Henley Netball Club U19s Regional League final winners
Henley Netball Club U19’s won the regional league final in thrilling style coming through the semi-final with a 1 goal advantage against a strong Copeswood side. This set the scene for a repeat of last year’s final against Linden. Both teams gave it their all with end to end netball, coaches making changes where necessary to try and gain an advantage, there was incredible athleticism by both sides, retrieving balls mid-‐air plus shooting stats well into the 80s. Score at the final whistle was an electrifying 45-‐45! Into extra time we went and both teams set off at a tremendous pace, each scoring from their centres making the score 46-‐46 and with the prospect of golden goal looming, Henley scored making the final tally 47-‐ 46. All that can be said is that this final was a credit to West Midlands Netball, with great support coming from both teams, the coaches and the many who were gathered on the balcony to watch; what a fantastic final!
