Great Success on the Opening Night of the Warwickshire Netball Midweek League
Caludon Castle Sports Centre in Coventry was buzzing last night as the eight teams in the Warwickshire Netball Midweek League, took to the court for their opening fixtures. With the weather also playing ball, teams from Harbury, Highway, Leamington, Bramcote Swans, CNWNC, Griff & Coton, Hinckley Hornettes and the Queen’s Diamonds from Rugby, competed in highly contested games, with many of the scorelines going goal for goal.
The league has been established for players aged 16+ to sustain Back to Netball provision within the county, as well as providing regular competitive opportunities for less experienced players and those that are not able to commit to weekend fixtures. It is also intended that the league will provide opportunities for Umpire mentoring.
